Since my son is already 3 1/2, I was a bit behind and nervous about how I would fill it all in. With a little creativity it wasn’t a problem at all! I removed a couple pages, and for others I was able to just put my own extra snapshots over the content I didn’t have (interviews, quotes from ages 1&2, family drawings). So I wanted to submit a review in case there are people out there like me who are a little late to the game and behind on baby books! It can be done! I ordered a bunch of photos and now I’ve filled everything in and I’m all caught up on his book! It feels amazing. I ordered the baby book and little years for my second son to arrive in December. Can’t wait to start at the beginning for this one!

I'm so disappointed with this purchase. I was excited to find a baby book after 1 year because I already did a 1 year one. However, this is a glorified scrapbook. For each age it has a birthday page, an interview with the child, a family page, and then a bunch of blank pages to add your own pictures. I was hoping for more of a timeline to follow along and fill in developments etcs. The pages and book quality is nice but I would not purchase again. So overpriced!
I filled out a book and now my daughter wants another for her years 6-10. I will have to doctor it a little. So I do wish the made books like this for kids over 5. But it worked great.

I have 2 girls. Was gifted the "girls" book fost. Bought the "boys" second. Both cute. But wish there was one just for kids generally. Girls like dinosaurs and trucks and boys like rainbows and hearts. Just cute and bright and fun would be the perfect option.

I had the baby’s first year, and jumped at the chance to continue my memory making for my son. He recently turned 6 and I couldn’t bare not having this book anymore- so I bought another one to continue his book. I’ll just cross out the ages as write over them as I go. By far the best memory book out there. So many pages for each age and easy to make your own. Would love if there was another one made for older ages after the little years. I have the girl’s version for my daughter and love that I’ll be able to pass these onto them when they’re older. I’ll be buying another little years for her after year 5 unless a new older version comes out. :) thank you!

I opened my package and I ordered 3 books. They were beautifully packaged and I could not believe how nice the quality was. When ordering I was a little hesitant on price but now I feel like I should have paid more for how amazing they are!
First of all toddlerhood is amazing so being able to document these years is the best. My son loves looking through the book at pictures and I love the interview and cutest quotes pages. I thought the family drawing page was a weird because a 3 yo still draws scribbles so I decided to buy different custom family illustrations on Etsy until he can do a drawing or is at least interested in trying. The only thing I wish the book had is a pocket in the back to hold extra photos or papers. But this book is amazing and I’ve enjoyed it even more than the baby memory books.

This book is beautiful but I was confused by some of the decisions for prompts for each age. For example, for the the 1 and 2 year old sections there are lots of pages that are essentially useless- like several pages for "quotes" and "drawing of my family" and "an interview with me" - all things that don't really apply to a child that young. I felt like for the price a lot of these pages would not get used- wish they had tailored it for each age a bit better- I ended up returning it.
Colors are vibrant. Good quality paper used. Page layouts are perfect to keep track of your little one. Really enjoying filling out this book! It’s worth every penny.

I had previously purchased the girl version of the toddler book for my oldest daughter and absolutely loved it! The quality, size, and features of the book are outstanding and exactly what I wanted in a memory book. Definitely worth the price. When my second daughter was born, I wanted to get her a toddler book too but was torn between buying a second copy of the girl book or getting the boy version so that she could have something unique from her older sister. I just didn't want it to seem too boyish though, so I wasn't sure. I'm happy to say that, with the exception of only a few pages, this book is pretty gender neutral and will work nicely for my daughter. The few pages that do seem a little overly boyish can easily be altered (like putting a sticker over top of the bearded sailor man on a couple of the pages). I thought the most boyish theme of the book was the car theme, but even that didn't seem overly so. So, yes, this book can work for either a boy or girl, but I DO hope that Lucy Darling will create more toddler book options in the future, because we plan to have more than two kids and would love to get unique books for each of them. Do your memory books work for all families?
Yes! Our baby memory books take a “child-focused” approach. Most references to parents are worded as "we loved," or "we watched you grow," etc. We’ve also recently updated our books and removed the family tree labels, which gives you the freedom to label each space in a way that works for your specific family. The only reference to any one parent is on the “before you were born” page where there's a photo spot for mom's belly and a blank spot to write what mom was craving.
Our toddler books are completely child focused and only reference "my family" throughout.
