When you have a new baby it seems like every two weeks baby they’re outgrowing their adorable tiny clothing! Here are a few simple things we loved for organizing all of the baby stuff.
Keep a bin for too small items
Have a basket or bin close by that you can easily toss clothing in when it gets too small for baby. I almost always had overflowing drawers and things hanging that didn’t fit. I finally learned this tip and it made it so much easier to manage my baby’s clothing and store away too small pieces.
Utilize drawer organizers
I loved the Ikea drawer organizers and still use them now that my kiddo is five years old!
You don’t have to fold anything in a specific way if that isn’t your favorite or you don't have time…but it’s a great way to separate bodysuits from pants or socks for easy access.
Closet Dividers
While I didn’t hang every item for baby, I loved having Closet Dividers for little jackets, special occasion pieces, and lots of dresses as my little one grew to the toddler stage. Our Closet Dividers start at Newborn and go to 2T.
Booties Over Socks
Tiny socks are impossible to keep track of and rarely stay on. We loved booties or moccasins that had velcro or snapped on. They stayed on better than socks and were a lot easier to keep track of!
Keep It Simple
I was lucky enough to have lots of hand me downs for our little one…but I wish I slimmed down to just our favorites. If you don’t love snap pajamas, get a few with zippers and skip the rest. Babies grow so quickly through the first year and few things fit for long, this will help organizing their clothes a little easier.
