As you know we at Lucy Darling are passionate about babies, but something you might not know, is we are equally as passionate about helping people and getting involved with organizations that do this everyday. One such organization that we are particularly excited about is Surfers for Autism. Surfers for Autism hosts multiple surfing events throughout the country connecting talented surfers with kids who have Autism for a day of fun in the sun. The event is filled with surf lessons, kayaking, face painting, bounce houses, lunch and so much more. The organization raises about $10k per event and all the proceeds go towards funding more of these events throughout the country.

So many families can relate to the Autism epidemic, with 1 in 68 children finding themselves somewhere on the autistic spectrum. If you haven't been personally touched by this disorder you probably know someone who has. We at Lucy Darling want to champion organizations that are raising awareness and funding for Autism research, as the number of children with Autism has grown 30% in the last two years.

Surfers for Autism is hosting an auction in September and we are honored to donate a few of our beach themed nursery art prints. It's our own small way of contibuting to Autism awareness.
